Quickies

May 27 --- Lake Tahoe and Reno, Nevada

Emerald Bay was breathtaking! I saw a lot of squirrels too. They're so cute and friendly.
It snowed! It snowed! I got to play around in snow! God must be pulling out all the stops for me even if it's late spring and snow shouldn't be happening right now.

Had a go at some slot machines in Reno. Good thing I'm 21 or else the casino won't be much fun. Gambling is depressing though. You lose a lot and win a little. But In liked the arcade games.

May 28 --- Reno, Nevada (still)

We slept at Auntie Vangie's home. Attended mass at Little Flowers Catholic church. I liked the sermon. After Mass, we had a champagne brunch at Atlantis (another reason why being 21 is good).

May 29 --- Yosemite Park

Just patches of snow there. But since all the ice is melting, the waterfalls were spectacular! The view is fantqastic from the high points of the park. It just so vast and awesome that it makes you feel small but at the same time secure. Lots of wildlife---saw deers, more squirrels and bears. I love bears!

May 30 --- Concannon Winery and Flight to Miami, Florida

I didn't bring any ID with me to the winery (Aunt Remy said we were going to the grocery) so I didn't think they were going to let me taste wine but the friendly guy at the counter asked what my birthday was and then let it slide. White wines are good and so is port. I only tasted three out of the 14 wines out for tasting because I didn't want to get drunk.

In the evening, Kuya Stein, Andrew, and Aunt Remy drove me to San Francisco for my flight to Miami.

May 31 --- Miami, Florida

I'm staying with my Aunt Paz and Uncle Nizar. Sorry that there's no pics posted. I'm kinda tired now so I'm off to bed. Good night world!

PS Ate Sharon, I got you some Ghirardelli. =)

it's okay even if you didn't post pics, krissy. it's as if i was following you around and tasting the wine, too. =)

gusto ko ring magpabili sa'yo pero di ko alam kung ano. maybe chocolates would be nice, too. or a book! =P "shopping" in second-hand book shops in the States would be a dream come true. =P

i'm really glad you're enjoying your vacation, krissy. =) eager to see you back in fellowship when you return. don't know about the others, but i miss you. =)

Aww, that was sweet Kuya. Thanks. It's nice to know I'm missed.

What book would you like? I'll try to find it Kuya. Yeah the bookstores here are pretty awesome. They beat Powerbooks. The used books stores are not so bad either.

I'll have to have some "rehab time" when I get back. I'm only a Christian on some Sundays here. *nervous laughter*

Mmm. Chocolate and port. Yum. I've only tried one kind of port that WAS actually from Portugal. I liked it, too. I think it was a ruby port, not a tawny port. I wonder how differently they taste.

You've read Manong Willy's book "Not Just Sundays"? Or are you holding yourself up to some incredibly high standard of behavior? But you might start rehab as early as now if you see you need it (=
